We will be putting on events such as golf days and charity football matches but our most challenging and daunting task will be undertaking the 100km Ultra Jurassic Coast Challenge on the 13th and 14th of May.
The hike which will be completed over two days starts at Corfe Castle, taking on the rolling coastal hills until we get to Bridport.
We are donating any funds raised to the fantastic UK based Mates in Mind. They are a charity that raises awareness and addresses the stigma of poor mental health in the construction industry. They work with companies like SM5 to help us to promote and lead on the development of positive mental wellbeing on our sites and in our other places of work.
Two people working in the UK construction industry will die by suicide every working day. The Construction industry loses over 700 people per year to suicide.
SM5 have partnered with Mates in Mind this year to help fundraise much needed funds so that they can continue to do the great work that they do. We also want to raise awareness of the charity to all of our friends, team members and the wider community to continue to remove the stigma of talking about your mental health struggles at work.
