Unit 12 is an organisation which believes in building positive community and are passionate about changing the perception of what community should be through providing activities and opportunities that are suitable for all ages, abilities and backgrounds to participate together.
As well as providing activities etc they also run Winchester Community Food Pantry to enable members to “get more for less”. The pantry aims to help and encourage families that need a little bit of support to manage and budget through these tough times. Anyone is welcome to shop at the pantry once a week - there are no criteria for becoming a member.
They also run a clothes pantry, a refugee support hub, a community garden and a number of other much needed services to the local community.
It is part of the SM5 Developments ethos that we support the communities that we are working in. So as well as making a monetary donation for them to buy what they need, our Director Joe and QS Ryan went along with some food items for them to allow them to continue the amazing work that they are doing in Winchester.
